This recipe makes approximately 750ml / 75cl of Earl Grey infused gin. This is about the same amount as a standard bottle of gin.

What we love most about this recipe is that it has tea in it – so a great excuse to drink it anytime of day : )
You will need:
4 tbsp of Earl Grey loose leaf tea – we particularly like this one The Tea Masters Loose Leaf Tea Earl Grey 225g
750ml of gin (we recommend a London dry gin such as Greenall’s The Original London Dry Gin)
A suitable airtight container / bottle. This would be perfect Leifheit Glass Bottle Faceted Sides, Transparent, 1000 ml
Slice of lemon to garnish
The rest is real easy:
Sterilise the bottle
Pour in the gin
Add in the tea
Seal the container
Leave for 2 hours (the longer you leave it the stronger the taste!)
Strain the gin through a sieve and get rid of the tea
Serve with a slice of lemon
We recommend adding tonic to this recipe. Our favourite is Fever Tree Light Mediterranean Tonic Water.
And of course as it’s ‘essentially’ tea you could serve in teacups with a few biscuits on the side. We’d suggest Cartwright & Butler Chocolate Chunk Biscuits.
