Originally called the Zaza, this gin based cocktail was a favourite of the Queen Mother – so much so, it’s often referred to as ‘The Queen Mum’.

Ingredients:
A good quality gin such as Hayman’s London Dry Gin, 70 cl
A bottle of Dubonnet Aperitif Wine, 75 cl
A martini glass (Ravenhead Essentials Sleeve of 2 Martini Glasses 15CL)
There is much debate about the ratio of gin to Dubonnet – but the earliest recipes suggest an even ratio of Dubonnet to gin. We have tested this out and are inclined to agree!
Method:
Mix / shake 60ml of gin together with 60ml of Dubonnet
Strain through a sieve into the chilled martini glass
Serve with a twist of orange or lemon peel
Just watch out as they can be a bit too easy to drink but come with a punch!
